Claudia Baska Lynn and Sibel Sayılı-Hurley were awarded the Andrew W. Mellon Fellowships in the Digital Humanities

Claudia Baska Lynn and Sibel Sayılı-Hurley were both awarded the Andrew W. Mellon Fellowships in the Digital Humanities for the 2018-2019 academic year. Claudia and Sibel are co-authoring Bewegungen, an intermediate textbook, which is currently used in German 104 and 107. During their Mellon fellowship they will work on the integration of digital tools in Bewegungen to facilitate students' culture and language learning. In addition, they were also awarded the Price Lab Project Incubation and Support Grant for their project that investigates the role of language in the ideological representations of historic events in the GDR.
