Visiting Professor Yasemin Dayioglu-Yücel has recently edited the third volume of Türkisch-deutsche Studien, entitled "51 Jahre türkische Gastarbeitermigration in Deutschland"

After receiving her Ph.D from the University of Göttingen in 2004, Professor Dayioglu-Yücel was a DAAD-Lecturer at the University of Istanbul, where she worked with a research project on Turkish-German cultural contact and transfer. She is currently working on her Habilitation on the Turkish and German family novel (home institution: Universität Hamburg). Her research interests include intercultural literary studies, comparative Turkish and German literature, and the poetics of catastrophe. She is a co-editor of the Jahrbuch Türkisch-deutsche Studien.
