Presentation by Jenny Wüstenberg, York University, Toronto

Jenny Wüstenberg is the author of “Civil Society and Remembrance in Postwar Germany” (forthcoming, Cambridge University Press). This book examines civil society and social movement efforts to shape the landscape of commemoration -­‐ from Holocaust survivor groups and expellees, to left-­‐wing history workshops and initiatives to recall the East German dictatorship after 1989. Ms. Wüstenberg is a DAAD Visiting Assistant Professor at York University in Toronto, Canada.
