In this workshop we will discuss with Dr. Christina Frei how to address issues that undermine the integrity of the classroom, focusing on plagiarism in particular. Dr. Frei directs German language instruction at Penn and serves as the Academic Director of the Penn Language Center. In this capacity, she has been responsible for the instruction of language teachers far beyond the borders of German. A recent recipient of the SAS Dean's Award for Distinguished Teaching, Dr. Frei is known for both her warmth and vigor. As such, she will help us think about appropriate avenues for approaching the issue of plagiarism and its consequences, especially in the context of a language classroom.
