On May 16, the German Historical Museum in Berlin (DHM) will feature an event, “Zeugnisse des Antisemitismus im Museum” (Antisemitic Material in Museums). Hetty Berg, Director of the Jewish Museum in Berlin, Anja Siegemund, Director of Centrum Judaicum/ Oranienburger Synagoge Berlin, and Liliane Weissberg will discuss whether anti-Semitic objects an collections have a place in public museums, and how they can and should be exhibited. In 2020, the German Historical Museum acquired the private collection of Wolfgang Haney, which consists of about 20 000 items relating to Jewish discrimination since the founding of the German Empire, and primarily during the Third Reich. The event, open to the general public, will take place at the Zeughaus Cinema.
