The Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures is thrilled to announce that our recent alumna Didem Uca will be joining the faculty of Emory University next fall as a tenure-track Assistant Professor of German Studies! Didem is currently Visiting Assistant Professor of German at Colgate University. She received her PhD last year from Penn with a dissertation on "Coming of Age on the Move: Young Travelers, Migrants, and Refugees in 20th- and 21st- Century Literature in German."
