Didem Uca, a fifth year graduate student, has received a Fulbright Research Fellowship at the Humboldt University of Berlin's Institut fur deutsche Literatur for the 2016-2017 academic year. Her dissertation analyzes novels with child protagonists by contemporary writers of non-German heritage to explore issues of migration, memory, language, and narration. In addition to conducting archival research and attending readings and events that center on intercultural exchange, Didem will interview several authors.
