Liliane Weissberg has recently been appointed a founding member of the board of the Research Center Sanssouci for the Study of the Enlightenment. The new center (RECS), a joint endeavor of the University of Potsdam and the Stiftung Schlösser und Gärten Berlin-Brandenburg, will bring together scholars in different disciplines and will cooperate with similar institutions at Versailles and Oxford. Also this Spring, Weissberg joined the board of the Simon Dubnow Institut for Jewish History and Culture at the University of Leipzig.
