Liliane Weissberg Has Been Awarded a 2019 Humboldt Research Fellowship For Her New Book Project on Early Twentieth Century Material Culture

Liliane Weissberg has been awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship for her new book project, provisionally entitled "In Circulation: Modern Literature, Philosophy, Art, and the Medium of the Postcard. Weissberg will spent the Sommersemester 2019 as a Visiting Scholar at the University of Leipzig, and do research at local archives and Leipzig's Deutsches Buch- und Schriftmuseum. Weissberg is familiar with both Leipzig and the Humboldt Foundation. She serves on the Academic Board of the Leibniz Institute for Jewish History and Culture--Simon Dubnow at the University of Leipzig. In 2012, the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation has honored Weissberg with the Humboldt Research Prize for her life's work.
