This December, Liliane Weissberg joined the Advisory Board of a new Berlin institute, the Berlin Center of Intellectual Diaspora. Housed at the Catholic Academy in Berlin, the BCID will offer lectures and events, and invite fellows to focus on: Religion and Democracy, The Culture of Difference, Political Theology, and Diaspora Knowledge. Conferences and events will also be organized in cooperation with the Humboldt University Berlin and other Berlin institutions, and invited speakers include scholars from the United States, Great Britain, Israel, and France. Weissberg serves already on the advisory board of several Berlin area institutions, such as the Moses Mendelssohn Center for European Jewish Studies Potsdam, and the German Historical Museum Berlin.
