Penn Graduate student Sonia Gollance wins Yiddish Research Fellowship

 

Sonia Gollance has received The Vladimir and Pearl Heifetz Memorial Fellowship and Vivian Lefsky Hort Memorial Fellowship in East European Jewish Literature at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research for 2015-16. This award supports 2-3 months of research in New York for her dissertation, “Harmonious Instability: (Mixed) Dancing and Partner Choice in German-Jewish and Yiddish Literature.”
