Professor Kathryn Hellerstein has been awarded two grants for her 2015-2016 sabbatical

The Jacob Rader Marcus Center of the American Jewish Archives has granted her The Joseph and Eva R. Dave Fellowship, which will enable her to spend a month at the AJA to conduct research for her article, "The Rosewaters and the Colmans: Jewish Identity in Two Cleveland Jewish Families (1840-1915)".
The Hadassah Brandeis Institute has named Hellerstein as Scholar-in-Residence for Spring 2016, to participate in the 2016 Spring Seminar - Fresh Voices: Jewish Women Writers from North America. While in residence she will work on her project, "What is it to be a Jewish woman poet? Women Poets as Jewish Translators." During 2015-2016, Hellerstein will also be a visiting Scholar in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations (NELC)at Harvard University.
