Two Invitations

Liliane Weissberg is currently curating two exhibitions in Germany, and would like to invite you for the openings.

On December 13, 2012, "Über Haschisch" will open at the Deutsches Literaturarchiv Marbach.  The small exhibit will document the relationship between Siegfried Unseld and Gershom Scholem, and tell the publication history of the work by Walter Benjamin.  The opening event's panel will also include Thomas Sparr, the geschaeftsfuehrender Direktor of the Suhrkamp Verlag, and Gary Smith, Director of the American Academy in Berlin.   A Marbacher Magazin will accompany the exhibit.

On April 24, 2013, the exhibit "Reiche Juden: Eine Vorstellung" will open at the Juedisches Museum in Frankfurt am Main.  This is a large exhibition that will be accompanied by a program of events during its run in Frankfurt until October, then move to Vienna to the Jewish Museum there, and finally to the Jewish Museum in Berlin in 2014.  There will also be a substantial catalogue and a small Ratgeber; the exhibit is due to elicit much attention.  Beware!
