The German Society of Pennsylvania, 611 Spring Garden Street

The German Society of Pennsylvania, 611 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia, will present a concert in the Society's newly renovated concert hall.

Featured will be the Invencia Piano Duo, playing a program that will include the Brahms' Liebeslieder Walzer, Schumann's Bilder aus Osten, Kasparov's Fantasy Lutheran Hymns, and Schmitt's Reflections of Germany. The artists are Andrey Kasparov and Oksana Lutsyshyn, who hail from Armenia and Ukrainian families. They have performed and published all over the world, and presently are headquartered  at Old Dominion University, Norfolk, Virginia, where both teach.

Tickets are $20.00, and may be purchased by calling 215-627-2332 or at the door. There will be a reception following the concert in the Society's Ratskeller, which will provide an opportunity to meet the artists. There is no additional cost to attend the reception; it is included in the price of the ticket. Seniors will ne interested to know that the Society has recently installed an elevator, making the entire building accessible to those needing assistance.
