Dr. Sonia Gollance (Penn PhD '17) has accepted a multi-year Visiting Assistant Professor position in the Department of Germanic Languages and Literatures at the Ohio State University, where she will be revitalizing the Yiddish program. She will teach classes on Yiddish language and culture, Holocaust Studies, and American Jewish literature. Dr. Gollance is currently a Moritz Stern Fellow at Lichtenberg-Kolleg, the Göttingen Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, where she has been teaching classes on German-Jewish history and working on her first monograph.
