Robert Blankemeyer (Bobby) is a PhD student in Penn’s Francophone, Italian, and Germanic Studies department. In 2022, Bobby graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor’s degree in German Language & Cultural Studies and Communication/Rhetoric, with a minor in Education. From 2022-2024, Bobby worked as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant in Berlin, Germany. Bobby’s primary research interests are 20th Century German Cinema, Gender and Sexuality, Queer Literature, and Culturally Responsive Pedagogy.
